625 - Toxicology

Semester I; 3 credits. Crosslisted with Animal Health and Biomedical Sciences 625, Environmental Toxicology 625, Medicine 625, Pathology 625, Pharmacology 625, Pharmaceutical Sciences 625, and Population Health Sciences 625. A basic course on the principles of toxicology and biochemical mechanisms of toxicity in mammalian species, including humans. Correlation between morphological and functional changes caused by toxicants in different organs of the body.

Prerequisites: Biochemistry and physiology; pathology and pharmacology recommended.
