Faculty Position in Virology and Cancer

The McArdle Laboratory for Cancer Research / Department of Oncology and the Institute for Molecular Virology are seeking outstanding candidates for a joint, tenure-track, assistant professor position in the area of cancer virology.  The individual recruited to this position will conduct basic research in virology to understand processes governing the molecular basis, prevention and/or therapy of cancer.  This individual will also participate in excellent, well funded, graduate and post graduate training programs and will be an active member of the human cancer virology program of the UW Carbone Comprehensive Cancer Center.  This position provides access to state-of-the-art research facilities for virology, molecular and cell biology as well as numerous shared resources.  Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae and a 2-3 page summary of research accomplishments and future research plans.  In addition, applicants should have letters of recommendation submitted from 3 or more qualified individuals.  Review of applications will begin immediately.  Applications and letters should be submitted to:  McArdle Laboratory for Cancer Research, 1400 University Ave., Madison, WI, 53706-1599; or to recruit@oncology.wisc.edu.
